Descriptive Notes: This meeting was run by Pastor Randy. Using an agenda, Randy led all of the participants in quite time, prayer, reflection, and conversation on a variety of topics:
Devotion on Leadership - Wanted Dead of Alive
Structure Review and Reports - Deacons / Elders = Need for more Deacons
Pastoral Care and Accountability
Finances
Visioning for the future - Alternative Income streams = redc.com
Upcoming events - Dr. Wieland expresses that June and July will be a crazy month for him.
Reflective Notes:
In this meeting, it is easy to see how many different ways that Randy's skills are needed and pulled. As most leaders do, Randy has to be able to speak to all of the mentioned areas in the agenda. As I reflect on the agenda and the topics covered, it also seems that Randy has a body of people that support his leadership and efforts geared towards moving the church along its Vision (To outreach to the community, establish more Christ followers, and to establish new churches as we can). As a leader, I also appreciate the fact that Randy and the church leadership team are looking for alternate income streams. At the school site level, I was always looking for ways to bring income into our schools. The money would be used for the students, teachers and community.
